What the day is like
The guild towers, the Black Church and the streets the guidebooks route you past. Three hours at walking pace.
Brașov was a Saxon town for seven hundred years, and it still reads like one if you know where to look. This walk covers the ground most tours cross without stopping: the guild towers on the town wall, the Black Church and why it is that colour, and the narrow streets behind the main square where the craftsmen actually lived.
What we cover
We start in Piața Sfatului, work outward through the Schei quarter, and finish at the foot of Tâmpa with the whole town laid out below. Three hours at a conversational pace, with stops.
Who it suits
Anyone, including children old enough to walk for three hours. No hills to speak of, though the cobbles are uneven and slippery in the wet.
